Cardinals Win Redemption Open

The 2nd Annual Redemption Open tournament was held June 12th-15th on a great weather week this summer. It was great to see players back on the field a few weeks after Season 11. Teams participating in the event were: Cardinals (S. Skibbe, Brett, Blake) Astros (Gus, Edloe, Chris), Brewers (Peter, PG, Kyle, Stephen), Expos (Danny B, Danny R, Connor), and Indians (Ethan, Dan, Extra Fielder).

The Cardinals defeated the Astros in the finals 6-3 after a great pitching duel between Gus Skibbe and Brett Spencer, who eventually would go on to be named tournament MVP (his second in a row) because of his stellar pitching throughout the event. The Cardinals also went 4-0 in pool play, making them 8-0 during pool play the past two years in this tournament.
